question 4
Who would be the audience for our media product?
We interrogated/ interviewed people to get them to give us answers about our ots opening title sequence to see if we met our aim of the target audience which was people 15 years and older.
We conducted research into our audience to see which age group our film suited the most, and to see if we hit our ots audience. we asked a variety of different people with different ages and asked them some questions each about our film. the questions we asked were " do you like horror?" , " what's your favourite sub genre?" and " did you like our horror?".
We got a various range of answers back depending on the age of the person we were asking the questions to. the younger girl aged 12 said that she never liked horrors at all, so she wasn't a fan of our OTS. this was good for us as we never intended our audience to be with someone of their age. However, we asked a 17 year old boy about our horror
OTS and he said he liked it and it was very original; this was good news to hear as it showed we had met our target audience through the feedback he gave. the 33 year old that we asked said that he liked it but he didn't really identify well with the characters as they were too young to feel affiliated with. The other people we spoke to all said they enjoyed it, showing that our ots was suitable for all year groups above the age of around 15, this concluded that we had a successful ots as we met our target audience with ease and also made content that was enjoyable for some viewers that weren't in our target age range.
