Film distribution is the marketing and promotion of a film. It is a company who make a film available to be viewed by an audience on a global scale. Distribution logos are shown at the beginning of any film or trailer that is distributed on a global scale. These logos are representative of the company and tend to show a resemblance to the globe. Distribution logos tend to be a moving picture with sound and are recognisable to the public. We did some research of different distribution companies so that we could come up with an idea for our own.

Walt Disney Studios motion pictures is an American motion picture distribution division owned by The Walt Disney Company. It is involved in the distribution process of films. Comparing to other distribution company the castle is very original, catching the attention from not only the older audience but the younger generation too. This is because the castle and fireworks is seen as quite magical by children making it instantly stick in their head because it would be their dream place to visit.
The American entertainment company Warner Bro's inc. produces and distubutes films. The distribution logo is successful because it uses a solid picture which flips over and is also seen as 3D when it moves. The gold represents wealth and representation with reflects on their company to show off how good their producers and distributors are. However the blue also represents feelings of sadness. These colours together contrast giving mixed emotions to what will happen during the film. They create a mixture of happy and sad endings which will keep entertain the audience to keep them watching.
The American media company Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc. is involved essentially in the production and distribution of films and television programs. The choice of the roaring lion, instantly makes the logo original as it is like no others, and also memorable to the audience due to it grabbing their attention. The use of the gold expands the idea of grabbing the attention of the audience. It gives the logo a high class and representation, exaggerating and showing off how good the logo and the distributors are.
